Horizont Europe Pillar 1: Individual National and European Funding Programmes for the Early Postdoc Phase, 23.03.2026
The 2-hour information session provides an overview of the DFG's individual funding opportunities specifically for the early postdoc phase, when young postdocs attempt to gain independence from their PhD supervisor. The funding conditions of the Walter Benjamin Programme and the Individual Research Grant Programme with the module „Temporary Position for Principal Investigators” will be presented.
In addition, funding opportunities for young postdocs within the EU framework programme Horizon Europe, in particular the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships for research projects abroad, will be presented.
The main course topics include:
– Presentation of different funding programmes of the DFG
– Presentation of the EU MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships
– Introduction of the funding conditions

Horizon Europe Pillar 2: Funding opportunities in Cluster 5, Cluster 6, EU-Missions and LIFE, 20.04.2026
This exciting event will present the new work programmes for Clusters 5 (“Climate, Energy, and Mobility”) and 6 (“Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment”) as well as the EU missions within the framework of Horizon Europe. In addition, LIFE, an EU funding programme for environmental, climate, and energy projects, will be presented.
In a compact format (approx. 1.5 hours), you will receive an overview of the topics of the upcoming calls for proposals. We will also point out relevant support services. The event will also provide an opportunity for questions.
The event is aimed in particular at professors and postdoctoral researchers who are interested in European collaborative funding opportunities and are planning to submit an application. We look forward to your participation!

Horizon Europe Pillar 2: Funding opportunities in Cluster 2 and interdisciplinary research questions in social sciences and humanities, 27.04.2026
This event will present the new funding opportunities offered by Cluster 2 (“Culture, Creativity, and Inclusive Society”) within the framework of Horizon Europe. In the Horizon Europe 2026–2027 work programmes, Cluster 2 promotes research and innovation in areas such as democracy and political participation, justice and fundamental rights, education, employment, growth and investment, and inequalities and migration.
Funding will be provided in the following three areas of intervention:

- Democracy and governance
- Cultural heritage
- Social and economic change
In addition, research questions in the social sciences and humanities will be considered as interdisciplinary topics in other areas of Horizon Europe, which we will also discuss. We look forward to your participation!

Horizont Europe Pillar 1: EU funding for Doctoral Networks, 18.05.2026
During the 1,5-hour information session you will get an overview of the funding line Doctoral Networks (DN) of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) within Horizon Europe. Doctoral Networks are networks of European institutions with the purpose of training doctoral researchers in a structured manner to increase their competences in an international, interdisciplinary and intersectoral research and training programme.
The main course topics include:

– Presentation of the application procedure
– Presentation of the evaluation criteria

Horizont Europe Pillar 1: Individual national and European funding programmes for more experienced Postdocs, 29.06.2026
The 2-hour information session provides an overview of the DFG funding line Emmy Noether Programme as well as the ERC Starting (StG) and Consolidator Grants (CoG). The Emmy Noether Programme offers young researchers the opportunity to work on their own research topic by leading an independent junior research group and to qualify for the post of professor at a university.
The ERC supports ground-breaking project ideas from excellent scientists in all fields of research. Scientific excellence, both with regards to the research project idea and the researchers themselves, is the sole evaluation criterion for funding.
The main course topics include:
– Presentation of the DFG Emmy Noether Programme
– Presentation of the ERC StG and CoG
– Introduction of the funding conditions
